Kitchen Assistant (Dishwasher)

About the role:

The D2 Dispensary’s Cultivation facility is looking to add a Kitchen Assistant (Dishwasher) to the team. The Kitchen Assistant provides support during kitchen production and maintains a clean and sanitary work environment. Duties include dishwashing, cleaning and sanitizing all spaces, and organizing all supplies and storage areas. The Assistant may also provide hands on support to the Technicians and learn the production procedures to maintain the workflow.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Washing all wares, including pots, pans, utensils, and equipment pieces.
  • Storing clean equipment, dishes, and utensils in assigned storage areas.
  • Inspecting dishes and utensils for good working condition and coordinating with Kitchen Manager on replacements.
  • Maintaining cleaning supplies and equipment and coordinate with Kitchen Supervisor on replenishment.
  • Ensuring all stages of kitchen production are completely stocked and working in an efficient and streamlined way.
  • Assisting with the production of various cannabis infused products.
  • Basic kitchen duties, such as measuring ingredients and loading/unloading items from machines, carts, and dollies.
  • Handling hazardous and non-hazardous waste per SOP and local requirements.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment in accordance with health regulations.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

You should also have:

  • HS Diploma/GED required.
  • Must be 21 years of age and pass a criminal background check.
  • Experience in kitchen, production, lab, or food safety environment.
  • Food Handler’s Card, current or obtained through the company within 30 days.
  • Knowledge of Arizona marijuana laws and regulations or willingness to learn.
  • Must maintain current knowledge and adhere to all policy and regulations of AZDHS, HIPAA, and Arizona State.

Physical requirements:

  • Standing for prolonged periods of time.
  • Repetitive motion that may include wrists, hands, or fingers.
  • Operating machinery and/or power tools.
  • Working in or around extreme high or low temperatures.
  • Working in noisy and/or hazardous conditions.
  • Medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Exposure to peanuts, dairy, or other food allergens.

Hours: Full Time 40 hour/week, open availability, potential overtime opportunity. Starting Wage: $16.00 Hourly

(ii) An offense involving conduct that would be immune from arrest, prosecution, or penalty under section 36-2811 except that the conduct occurred before the effective date of this chapter or was prosecuted by an authority other than the state of Arizona.
