Delivery Driver
About the role:
D2 Dispensary is seeking a dedicated Delivery Driver for our Downtown location. Our full-time Delivery Driver position is primarily responsible for receiving, processing, fulfilling, and delivering patient orders directly to patients from the dispensary. The delivery driver is committed to providing excellent patient care on every delivery in an efficient and friendly manner. This job requires attention to detail dealing with numbers big and small as well as inventory maintenance. The applicant must demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective verbal and listening communications skills, and computer skills including Microsoft Excel and the Mac OSX operating system. Accountability, dependability, and adaptability are all necessary skills in a growing industry that strictly complies with the regulations of the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS). A Delivery Driver will need exemplary organizational, interpersonal, and time/stress management skills to complete the required tasks.
What you’ll be doing:
- Receiving and fulfilling patient delivery orders placed by phone or online.
- Performing quality checks on all outgoing deliveries to ensure order accuracy.
- Delivering multiple patient orders along a mapped route.
- Creating and maintaining trip plans.
- Performing basic inspection of delivery vehicle for good operating condition.
- Ensuring orders are delivered in a timely manner as scheduled.
- Recording vehicle maintenance, gas, and mileage logs.
- Operating a POS system to process transactions.
- Acting as a resource for patients to answer questions about products and methods of consumption.
- Assisting patients in their selection of products for purchase.
- Participating in weekly inventory counts.
- Labeling and stocking product for sale.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.

You should also have:
- HS Diploma/GED required.
- Associate degree or equivalent relevant experience preferred.
- Must be 21 years of age and pass a criminal background check.
- No major driving violations in the last 5 years.
- Your own vehicle with the ability to provide proof of insurance.
- Previous work experience required.
- Experience in retail sales, or cannabis, preferred.
- Professional or commercial driving experience, preferred.
- Cash handling experience.
- Familiarity with the variety of methods for cannabis consumption.
- Knowledge of Arizona marijuana laws and regulations or willingness to learn.
- Must maintain current knowledge and adhere to all policy and regulations of AZDHS, HIPAA, and Arizona State.
- Schedule flexibility with the ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Physical requirements:
- Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
- Working in outdoor elements such as extreme temperature, precipitation, or wind.
- Standing for prolonged periods of time.
- Repetitive motion that may include wrists, hands, or fingers.
- Medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds.
Hours: Full Time 40 hour/week, open availability, potential overtime opportunity

You cannot work at The Downtown Dispensary or any state-licensed dispensary in Arizona if you have been convicted of an excluded felony offense as per A.R.S. § 36-2801. This is the definition of an excluded felony offense:
(a) A violent crime as defined in section 13-901.03, subsection B, that was classified as a felony in the jurisdiction where the person was convicted.
A.R.S. § 13-901.03 – B. For the purpose of this section, “violent crime” includes any criminal act that results in death or physical injury or any criminal use of a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument.
(b) A violation of a state or federal controlled substance law that was classified as a felony in the jurisdiction where the person was convicted but does not include:
(i) An offense for which the sentence, including any term of probation, incarceration or supervised release, was completed ten or more years earlier.
(ii) An offense involving conduct that would be immune from arrest, prosecution, or penalty under section 36-2811 except that the conduct occurred before the effective date of this chapter or was prosecuted by an authority other than the state of Arizona.
